Author Dr. Weir

Dr. Weir received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and is a board certified in both Hematology and Oncology. He served for two years as an internal medicine specialist in a mission hospital in Eku, Nigeria before returning to private practice in Memphis, Tennessee. He presently serves as Program Director for the Hematology and Oncology fellowship program at the University of Tennessee, attending physician at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center and sees private practice patients at The West Clinic. Dr. Weir and his wife Becky have three grown children and a growing herd of grandchildren. Dr. Weir writes weekly online devotions for the Christian Medical and Dental Associations and is the author of When Your Doctor Has Bad News.
