Betenbough Homes, West Texas’ number one new home builder, was founded in 1992 when Ron and Rick Betenbough teamed up to deliver quality homes at the most competitive price.
Now, more than 20 years and almost 7,000 homes later, Betenbough Homes continues to provide individuals with an unparalleled home buying experience, and help others transform their businesses into kingdom ventures. The Betenboughs are the recipients of the 2013 Hearthstone Builder Humanitarian Award, for a lifetime of public service, and are continuously recognized by Builder magazine as one of the top home builders in the nation. Today, Betenbough Homes ranks 56th on the list of the Top 100 Home Builders in America, while giving profits away to Christian organizations around the world to the tune of $30 million!
Behind their work is a deep commitment “to reveal God and His kingdom through our work in the market place.” Their Mission is summarized in three words: BUILD, SERVE, and IMPACT.
Betenbough Homes describes itself as “a collection of individuals who have united around a belief that they can spend our days in the marketplace with passion and purpose, having a significant and lasting impact in the world.” They love to create something new that didn’t exist before and do it with excellence as they seek to be faithful stewards of both resources and relationships with which God has entrusted them.
The collection of individuals who work at Betenbough Homes are not just employees. They are owners. Since 1998, Ron and Rick have transferred ownership of 70% of Betenbough Homes to its employees. In their words, they “would rather own 30% of a company full of owners than 100% of a company full of employees.” Betenbough “owners” are passionate about building quality homes, serving each person they encounter to the best of their ability, and positively impacting each community in such a way that it is transformed for the better.
Creating an ownership culture is just one way the Betenboughs have sought to live out their faith at work and advance God’s kingdom.
Too Important Not to Share: Kingdom Leadership Workshops
Wisdom to advance God’s kingdom in business is something the Betenboughs believe is too important to keep to themselves and several years ago began inviting other business leaders to see what God was doing and what they’d learned about doing business for His glory.
Like R.G. LeTourneau, the Betenbough believe that Christians in business have as much opportunity as pastors to have a kingdom influence on the world.
Leaders from over 200 organizations have taken advantage of this 3-day immersion into Kingdom Leadership that inspires, equips, and ignite you with a plan to advance God's kingdom through your business.
This workshop is limited to owners, founders, presidents, board members, directors, etc. with decision making authority within an organization that is seeking to advance God’s Kingdom through business. Age, experience, for-profit, non- profit, industry and/or organization size do not matter.
