Lower East Side Manhattan teenagers have found a future at Alphabet Scoop, a six-year-old ice cream parlor/job training center for teenagers. The brainchild of pastors (and husband and wife) Carol and Chuck Vedral of The Father's Heart Church, each year, between 10 and 20 kids, all between 14 and 18 years old, learn basic business and retail skills by making and serving ice cream in the Scoop, a small 11th St. storefront on Manhattan's lower East Side.
