Rick Owens to Speak at LETU Chapel
Rick Owens attended the University of Georgia, did post graduate work at George Washington University and the Naval Post Graduate School, and is a graduate of the Naval War College. He flew the F-4, F-5, A-4, and T-38 as a Navy fighter pilot and was commanding officer of an F-14 squadron. In 1978 he started his career with American Airlines as a Flight Engineer on the 727 and eventually became Chief Pilot and Base Manager in Nashville and Raleigh before becoming 737 Fleet Manager.
Rick retired from American Airlines in 2008 as a 777 Captain flying international routes to Asia, Europe and South America. He currently is an aviation training and operations consultant and is an elder at Park Cities Presbyterian in Dallas, TX. Rick and his wife Melissa have four adult children and live in Dallas, Texas.
